Sculpture is like a jam session, you have the instruments and material, the members of the band are the stages of development each with their own crescendo's and fine tuning. I want to be the audience with fresh eyes of a piece, I don't need to know what it will be until it emerges.

The Perrier Sculpture Garden is open 7 days a week, the solar spotlit show just on night fall is a unique experience. We now have 30 works in the collection. Feel free to drive in the roundabout the sculptures come alive with the shadows and colours it's another world.
At the age of seventy, I can confidently say that my life has been brimming with discovery and inspiration, propelling this incredible journey into new horizons.
I generally do not design my sculptures, I simply start building something. My only limitation's are style, materials, outcome, folly or the dance.
Notice how I never mentioned time. I am lucky enough that I can generally leave time on the front door mat. I have to meet deadlines and like the challenge but when it comes back to creativity, time is a ghost that haunts us.
Most of the Concrete works are made horizontally, I don't have to battle gravity to create the work. The big positive is that I never know what it will be until I stand it up on a base. Only then does the entire form become available to take in.

This site showcases more than four decades of work, featuring numerous groundbreaking creations that can be considered pioneering developments. I attribute much of my creative output to the unique context of our isolation from the rest of the world. Learning how to rely on your own skill development, if you don't do "what ever" it, no one else may be available to do it for you. Western Australia has long stood as an isolated frontier, thankfully the digital age continues to bring us all closer together. I appreciate your feedback on this site.
